The Nile was the heart of ancient Egypt's culture and even now this name evokes the imagery of an exotic style. My unique handmade beaded necklaces featured on this page are my interpretation of the ornate beaded collars associated with the ancient pharos and their queens. All of the necklaces here begin with the tubular netting stitch, a continuously growing tube of bead netting. Each is then further embellished with various styles of overlapping fringe accentuating drape and materials. Like all handmade beadwork, this is a time consuming art. But as you can see, the results are well worth the effort!
