Summer’s End? Not Yet!

Have you started seeing ads for “Back to School” specials yet? Well, it’s August so you know, if you live in the USA, those ads are coming soon! Where you live, do you get bombarded with these? I wonder if “Back to School” is as much a marketing tool in other countries as it is here (at least it has seemed to be in every state I have ever lived in).

As a youngster, I did my best to ignore them. After all, despite my love for learning, there was little to no love lost between school and me and I had no desire to be reminded that my Summer freedom was on the cusp of being curtailed.

I’m not ready for Autumn, as pretty a season as it might be. I am still eager for flowers and meadows and bright sunshine lasting late into the day. How about you?

    I am with you I think the adverstizing for Back to School, Halloween, Christmas come earlier every year. Who wants to be reminded that time is flying by.
