Mid-Terms
Besides being a full time artist entrepreneur I am also a university adjunct professor and this week is midterm (more or less) at both of the universities where I teach. Because I am teaching the sciences I have to be concerned with midterm exams and papers (depends on the class).
As any university level teacher what is the least fun thing they have to do and quite a few will say “grading.” It’s not so bad – unless the writing or font are illegible. Sometimes I am impressed with the work and occasionally dismayed. It’s great to work with a student and be there when suddenly they “get it.”
Back in the studio, I have almost finished the design for my first “Dreams and Delights” flyer and I want to start a commissioned project tonight.
With this post, I am including another downloadable gift: a simple pattern for my shawl style earrings for you to print out and color. Coloring is an aid for good mental health as I have previously discussed. Last time, I offered a mandala, this time a beadweaving pattern. I hope you enjoy creating your work of art. (and if you need it beaded, let me know.)

Ooh, good timing on my part, then.
You’re quite welcome, Carol.

I’m in the same boat as Carol – I just saw this pattern on about and was thinking of trying it, now I can use your pattern gift to explore what colors I want to use! You rock!
